PTFE lined valve It is a type of valve that is cheaper than corrosion-resistant stainless steel valves and Hastelloy valves, but has a wider range of applications. In some highly corrosive media where metal valves are not suitable, PTFE lined valves can be used. No matter what valve it is, it should be used reasonably. Below, we will briefly introduce the issues that need to be noted in application.
1. The lining of PTFE lined valves is fluoroplastic, and there are many types of fluoroplastics, such as F46 plastic. The medium temperature used should not exceed 150 degrees Celsius, but the suitable temperature is around 120 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, some parts of the valve will soften and deform, causing the valve to fail to close and increasing leakage. Different fluoroplastic materials are suitable for different medium temperatures, and the selection should be based on actual working conditions.
2. PTFE lined valves installed in pipelines must not have negative pressure to prevent the fluorine lined plastic in the valve cavity from being sucked out, leading to valve opening and closing failures.
3. PTFE lined valves should not be used for media containing particles, impurities, etc., to avoid wear on the valve core during the opening and closing process.
4 PTFE lined valve The regulating valve in the middle needs to choose the diameter according to the flow rate, so as to better improve the service life of the valve.
