Points to note when using PTFE lined valves

1. Before use, carefully read the product manual.
2. Pressure, temperature, medium, etc. should be within the range of use of the valve.
3. To prevent changes in pipeline stress caused by temperature fluctuations in PTFE lined valves, try to minimize temperature changes and add U-shaped expansion joints before and after the valve.
4. Do not use levers to open and close valves. Pay attention to the direction of valve opening and closing and limit devices. The opening and closing should be in place, and do not forcefully close to prevent premature damage to fluoroplastics.
5. Unstable and easily differentiated media can cause valve damage or leakage, and measures should be taken to eliminate it. In the selection of valves, the instability of the medium and the conditions that may form during differentiation should be considered.
6. It is prohibited to replace valve packing under pressure for toxic, flammable, explosive, and corrosive media. Although fluoroplastic valves have high sealing performance in design, it is not recommended to replace them under pressure.
7. If there is prolonged oscillation in the pipeline, measures should be taken to eliminate it and prevent damage to the valve.
8. During the application of fluorine lined valves, the sealing surface of fluoroplastic is often damaged by crystalline media, solid particles, etc. due to its soft texture, causing sealing leakage. It should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
9. PTFE lined valves usually do not use gaskets on flanges. In case of flange leakage, the flange nuts can be tightened evenly to eliminate the leakage.
10. If it is a toxic, flammable, explosive or other medium, the staff should wear protective masks and rubber gloves, and wear protective clothing according to the operating procedures to prevent accidents.
