Is PTFE lined valve resistant to high temperatures?

    PTFE lined valve There are many types of valves, such as PTFE lined ball valves and PTFE lined butterfly valves. So, are these valves resistant to high temperatures?

PTFE lined valves are capable of withstanding high temperatures. Currently, valves made of this material can reach temperatures of up to 180 degrees Celsius, while other types of fluorine lined valve products can only reach temperatures of up to 150 degrees Celsius.

PTFE lined valves can be used in harsh working environments, but we should also pay attention to the correct usage method during use:
1. Prevent excessive pipeline stress caused by temperature changes when using PTFE lined valves, minimize temperature changes as much as possible, and add U-shaped expansion joints before and after the valve
2. Do not use levers to open and close fluorine lined valves. Pay attention to the indication position and limit device of the PTFE lined valve. After the opening and closing are in place, do not forcefully close it to avoid premature damage to the fluoroplastic sealing surface.
3. During the use of PTFE lined valves, the sealing surface of fluoroplastic is often damaged by medium crystallization and solid particles due to its soft texture, resulting in seal leakage. If discovered, the sealing components should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
4. Some PTFE lined valves are partially opened during use to regulate flow, and high-speed media can cause premature damage to the sealing surface. In such cases, the sealing components should be replaced in a timely manner.
