2. The handle of the valve is designed for sharpness, so as long as the handle is turned, the valve can be opened and closed. PTFE lined valves are generally not allowed to be opened or closed with a lever or wrench, because using a lever to open the valve can cause damage to the sealing surface.
3. PTFE lined gate valves and PTFE lined globe valves cannot be used for throttling purposes, as this can easily flush the valve plate and sealing surface, introduce vibration leakage, and damage the PTFE lined valves.
4. Large diameter PTFE lined gate valves, PTFE lined globe valves, and PTFE lined butterfly valves, some of which are equipped with bypass valves, are used to balance the pressure on both sides of the valve and reduce the opening force. Therefore, when opening, the bypass valve should be opened first, and then the PTFE lining valve should be slowly opened. When closing the valve, the bypass valve should be closed first, and then the PTFE lining valve should be slowly closed.
When opening the PTFE lined valve, it should be slowly opened to prevent water hammer and damage to the PTFE lined valve and pipeline.
6. PTFE lined gate valves and PTFE lined globe valves cannot be used for throttling purposes, as this can easily flush the valve plate and sealing surface, introduce vibration leakage, and damage the PTFE lined valves.
7. After some PTFE lined valves are closed and the temperature drops, the valve components shrink and there is a slight leakage on the sealing surface. At this time, the PTFE lined valve should be tightened again after it is closed.
