Precautions for selecting fluorine lined valves

    Fluorine lined valve It has been widely used in equipment that comes into contact with strong corrosive media such as acid and alkali in industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, and power. Based on years of application experience, the following points are proposed for the selection of fluorine lined valves to consider several usage conditions such as medium temperature, pressure, and pressure difference:
1. The temperature of the medium used for fluorine lined valves: Fluorine lined valves have temperature requirements during use. For example, valves lined with F46 should not exceed a medium temperature of 150 ℃ (the medium temperature can reach 150 ℃ for a short time, and the temperature should be controlled within 120 ℃ for a long time). Otherwise, the F46 lining of various parts of the valve is prone to softening and deformation, resulting in the valve not closing and large leakage.

If the medium temperature used is below 180 ℃ for a short period of time and below 150 ℃ for a long period of time, PFA can be used, but the price of PFA lined fluoroplastics is higher.
2. There should be no negative pressure. Fluorine lined valves should avoid using pipelines with negative pressure. If there is negative pressure, it can easily cause the fluorine lined plastic layer in the valve cavity to be sucked out (bulging) and peel off, resulting in valve opening and closing failures.
3. The pressure and pressure difference should be controlled within the allowable range. Especially for fluorine lined valves with corrugated pipe seals (such as Fluorine lined regulating valve Stop valve). Due to the fact that the corrugated tube is made of PTFE material, the pressure and pressure difference are large, which can easily cause the corrugated tube to rupture.
Fluorine lined valves sealed with corrugated pipes can be replaced with PTFE packing seals for use under high pressure and pressure differentials.
